We thoroughly enjoyed looking for butterflies to add to our life list with knowledgeable group leaders. Everyone in our group was friendly and courteous allowing all members to get photos of each species. Though the weather was a little trying on a couple of days, that did not stop Peter and Rob from making the most of the day. It was very nice to have everything planned for us including accommodations and meals. Thank you for a fabulous experience!!

Despite the weather not being ideal we hit most of our targets.
Our guide Peter is an expert at finding difficult butterflies.
The transportation was very comfortable and the accommodations were good.
The field lunches were good and the dinners were outstanding.
All in all, I'd highly recommend this trip for those after these spring specialties.

Exploring the famed Manu Road in Peru for butterflies was a wonderful adventure. Different altitudes provided new species every day. Weather in the cloud forest not withstanding, our knowledgeable guide got us out seeing even more species, considering the conditions. Our final day was the ultimate experience, with a few exciting finds included. Definitely worth experiencing!

I keep booking with FaunaVentures for a reason. The trips are uniformly wonderful: well-planned with expert guides in marvelous places. The lodgings are comfortable and the food excellent and typical for the region. The guides really make the trip. The legendary Manu Road did not disappoint. Even when the weather was less than ideal our expert guide found butterflies and birds. The people, the accomodations, the food all made this a memorable way to experience the incredible biodiversity of lepidopta in Peru. The post tour visit to Machu Picchu with a very special indigenous guide made this a trip of a lifetime. Thank you, Fauna Ventures, for putting together an amazing travel package.
